When you book your function room, look out for hidden extras. Be mindful too that if you book their own resident DJ they may be making more than a drink for passing your business on. One example recently I found out about was a top wedding venue in Orsett. They charge the bride and groom £400 for a DJ, however the DJ only gets paid £250. Therefore if you also get some quotes for independant DJ’s you have a better idea of what a fair price is.

Once you’ve booked your wedding services and venue, ring round again and see if they are able to make a further small discount. Collectively you could make a further big saving.
